Hair: 20 Months Post Relaxer

It has been twenty months since my head has felt the white creamy stuff.  Here's my hair on a recent wash day:

My hair is definitely growing.  I notice it when I twist my hair for twistouts.  I few months ago, my crown section was so short I couldn't twist it.  Now, that section doesn't look like the "odd" section anymore.

It still looks weird in a shrunken state.  However, shrinkage is deceiving.  When it is stretched, I get excited that I can now get past "the accident" I had with those marcel curlers...when I was still relaxed...years before my healthy hair journey...(yikes, that hair is just NOW growing back, smh).

Anyway, I honestly cannot remember the last date that I have stuck a handheld blow dryer with a comb attachment or a pair of flat irons in my hair.  Lately, I am loving my twistouts.  Now that I have mastered the twistout that's all I seem to do.  I like them because they allow me to see my length without using heat.  Plus, since my hair is a little longer now, when my hair starts to look a little rough I can put it into a puff.

I will tell you in a different post how I achieve the puff.

Yours truly,

Coily
